Founded in Forest County, Pennsylvania, on November 6, 1986 by the late Ronald C. Songer, National Forest Products, LTD. manufactured countertops and other components for manufacturers in the cabinet industry. With the passing of Ronald C. Songer in 1992, his sons continued to manage the company.

In 1994 National Forest Products purchased the assets of International Kitchens, LTD and began manufacturing complete kitchens. As the demand increased for Premio quality custom cabinetry by National Forest Products, a warehouse was purchased in 2004 and remodeled to accommodate new equipment as well as necessary expansion. Growth continued until August 3, 2006 when the entire factory and all contents were consumed by fire.

National Forest Products rebounded quickly and restored operations at its former location on January 2, 2007, while awaiting rebuilding efforts. A new facility has now been constructed and is currently in operation.
